Su un ciliegio esterno (On an outdoor cherry tree) is a surreal and poetic song that we particularly love. In the song, the protagonist - Gianni Sergente - sitting on the outdoor cherry tree allows himself to be himself. Here, where his salary is worth spending on licorice, where everyday life cannot affect what remains of a person, Gianni finds himself and takes refuge.
It is perhaps better known that in Japanese culture, the cherry tree represents rebirth, beauty, and the transience of existence.

 

The cherry tree outside, an image we steal, thus becomes for us one of the possible representations of life, a place previously only imagined, a refuge and one of the spaces where we can be or search for ourselves.

Ciliegio Esterno deals with architecture, interior design, and design. We operate mainly in Italy and on the French Riviera, with one studio in Milan and one in Ventimiglia. The design team is supported by various collaborators and a well-established network of skilled craftsmen who guarantee a comprehensive design service characterized by a high degree of customization and attention to detail. 
The result is what we call tailor-made architecture, spaces designed for the client, where even the furnishings are carefully chosen and often custom-made, without excluding the study of lighting, fabrics, and colors. Ciliegio Esterno specializes in homes, shops, and, since 2017, the design of recording studios.

Chiara Castellana graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 2008. From 2009 to 2013, she worked in various architecture and engineering firms in Milan, dealing with interior design, renovations, restoration, urban planning, and retail for major fashion brands. At the same time, she was part of the Ciliegio Esterno design group, to which she has been fully dedicated since 2013.

 

Simoncristian Muscatello graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 2009. From 2009 to 2013, he worked between Liguria and Milan, where he was involved in residential and civil architecture and interior design at various architecture and engineering firms, and participated in architecture competitions and integrated tenders. Since 2013, he has devoted himself exclusively to Ciliegio Esterno. He is a certified KlimaHaus Junior Expert. ​
